Antenna or Cable

Virtual Headend is our state-of-the-art Cloud TV platform that is able to transcode on-the-fly a selection of world IPTV channels from modern HLS/DASH formats to DVB (or ATSC) MPEG-TS broadcast standard and stream them to rooms and apartments over coaxial cable. Neither new wiring nor smart TVs nor additional set-top-boxes are required, just plain and simple digital TV sets which are straightforward to use by guests. IPTV channels are received like any other digital terrestrial or clear cable channel. Minimal hardware is needed at customer premises. Various configurations are possible depending on your Internet broadband connection (12,24,36, up to 48 HD-quality channels for each DVB 4xQAM modulator and 9,18,27 or 36 channels for each 4xJ83.B modulator). Complete freedom about channel selection is left to the property manager or local technical staff that interact with the cloud web interface.

Wifi

Hoteltube is our innovative service for streaming hundreds of world TV channels to mobile guest devices. Service is delivered through the hotel or community Wifi system and it is enabled by the Virtual Headend Cloud TV Platform. Tipically a QR code is on display at the reception or welcome desk, so users can access the TV service autonomously on a free-to-guest basis. From the manager's perspective, hoteltube is hassle-free because there is no management panel. From the user's perspective, Hoteltube consists of an organized and up-to-date collection of links to world TV channels and an optimized browser interface to recover and watch them directly on their personal devices. No app store software is provided nor needed for watching and that makes the solution very easy to use.

Both

The two services are indipendent from one another and a scenario where both are implemented is the choice to go if you need to serve both in-room displays and mobile devices

One way TV streaming is also particularly fit for highly restricted business or agency networks that need a security by-design approach.

Save Money

No additional money to invest in the property, service deploys over existing distribution systems and TV screens

Automatic failure detection. Virtual headend Cloud TV can send alerts when TV channels are missing before any user can even realize something is wrong

Frequently Asked Questions

Check our FAQ below

Can I get a live demo before proceeding any further ?

Yes, sure. Drop us a line in order to obtain your free 4-week test credentials and technical guidelines for evaluation. But consider that one of the two services still needs a small hardware to be installed at your premises and you may want to seek help from your trusted antenna operator. Check the requirements.

What about the list of available TV channels ?

Channel lists are continuosly updated and organized by country. Channel URLs come from both publicly available sources (broadcasters, CDNs, etc.) and satellite recasters that we set up on behalf of customers. Book a demo with us in order to go into detail.

How do I pay ?

Service is made up of a setup fee and a monthly fee. We use Paypal Business to acquire recurring payments, so you can pay either with your credit card or Paypal balance. Prices are not published because they change according to country and audience size. As a rough idea consider that for a 50-room hotel placed in Europe we charge less than EUR 100,- a month for a 24-channel (2-multiplex) Virtual Headend cloud service. Seasonal 6-month plans are also available. Please get in touch for additional information.

What if I need help ?

We have a help line during office hours (central european time) by phone, e-mail or Whatsapp/Telegram. Spoken languages are english and italian. Consider that we offer assistence only to managers and technical staff, not to viewers and guests.

Do you have any further documentation ?

You can see some screenshots of the Virtual Headend web interface which will be available to your technical/IT staff by clicking below.

In which countries do you offer your services ?

There are really no limits to that. But sometimes coverage may not be optimal in your area or your connection may not be adequate. That's why we recommend to perform a free test before subscribing. You should also consider that for now we support only DVB and ATSC/J.83B/ClearQAM TV screens over coax.
